What Is CMEGP

Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP) Maharashtra
The CMEGP is a credit-linked subsidy scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra in August 2019, aiming to empower youth—especially aspiring entrepreneurs and women—to establish micro and small enterprises across the state. The program is administered by the Industries Department via District Industries Centres (DICs) and the Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB), with bank collaboration.

Project Cost Limits:

  • Manufacturing sector: 1 crore
  • Service : 50 lakh

* Special category includes SC, ST, Women, Ex-servicemen, Differently Abled individuals.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Age: 18 year completed
  • Relaxed by up to 5 years for women and special categories.
  • Maharashtra domicile required.
  • Education: 8th passed
  • Only one beneficiary per family (spouse counts as same family).
  • Must not have availed similar subsidies like PMEGP or other state schemes.
